NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Universal Lighting Technologies announces the addition of lighting industry expert Wheeler Pulliam to the Universal sales team as the new vice president of sales for the central region of the United States.
Boasting nearly 15 years of electrical distribution sales and industry experience, Pulliam joins the Universal team with management capabilities obtained from various roles. He most recently served as director of sales, where he successfully grew markets and introduced new product lines. Pulliam also has a Six Sigma certification. Prior to his lighting experience, he was a captain in the U.S. Army.
“At Universal, we value the relationships we have built over the years with our distributors,” said Joe Damiani, executive vice president, sales and marketing for Universal Lighting Technologies. “We have a strong sales organization with quality agents and a regional vice president support strategy. In fact, the ease of doing business with Universal is one of the qualities our distributors appreciate about our organization. With Pulliam’s leadership and experience, we will be able to provide dedicated service to the central region.”
In his new position, Pulliam will preside over both Distribution and OEM channels within the central territory. He will develop, facilitate and optimize the sales strategy for Universal’s LED fixtures and comprehensive lighting products.
