SALISBURY, NC – Shat-R-Shield, Inc. announced that Nancy Gao accepted the position of Product Manager. Formerly with Yankon Lighting, Gao served as Senior Product Manager to build a successful portfolio of commercial lighting products while providing technical support, product design, pricing definition, market research and inventory management tactics.
Gao has worked in the lighting and semiconductor industry for over a decade. Prior to Yankon, she held positions of Senior Technical Marketing Manager, Technology Program Manager, and Product Development Engineer for companies such as GE Lighting, Bridgelux, TE Connectivity and Philips Lighting. Gao has a Master of Material Science and Engineering from Tongji University, a strong technical background and history of delivering new product introductions and growing LED product offerings.
When asked about her new employment with Shat-R-Shield, Inc., she said, “Shat-R-Shield is a great company with a strong brand for almost 50 years, focusing on high quality and reliable products. The company’s growth strategy fits my background and career goals and it is a good time for me to grow with this company.”
In response to Gao’s hire, Erickson mentioned, “We’re excited for Nancy to join the Shat-R-Shield team. Her experience in product development and product management, specifically in lighting, will continue to drive our cadence of new product launches and our roadmap for niche market LED fixture introductions.”
Shat-R-Shield also announced that Gary Williams accepted the position of Southeast Regional Sales Manager. Formerly with Digital Lumens, Williams served as Regional Sales Manager to build a successful channel sales program utilizing value-added resellers, lighting representative agencies, and electrical distributors across the southeastern United States.
Williams has worked in the electrical industry for over a decade on both the manufacturing side with Digital Lumens as well as distribution via his tenure with Graybar Electrical. When asked about his new employment with Shat-R-Shield, Inc., he said, “I am very excited to be joining an organization with such a stellar reputation in the industry and to be working with a team that is dedicated to exceeding the customer experience on every transaction.”
In response to Williams’ hire, Pam Erickson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Shat-R-Shield, Inc. mentioned, “Gary brings a wealth of experience as an industry veteran and is well positioned to grow Shat-R-Shield’s market presence in the newly created Southeast Region. He will make an immediate impact in support of our distributor partners and our rep agencies in the Southeast Region.”
Williams’ territory will include: VA, NC, SC, Eastern TN, GA, FL and the Caribbean, where he will work with manufacturer’s representatives to promote Shat-R-Shield’s safety coated lamp line and niche LED fixtures throughout electrical distribution and end-user customers in the food processing, marine, wastewater treatment and industrial markets.
