Philadelphia Inquirer Names Keystone Top Workplace in 2022

LANSDALE, Pa. Keystone Technologies has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2022 honor by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“This honor is a tribute to our employees and the innovative, forward-thinking, and family-friendly culture we’ve established at Keystone Technologies,” said Ira Greenberg, Keystone CEO.

Keystone Technologies is a leader in creating quality-driven lighting solutions for the industry’s top lighting fixture manufacturers and wholesale distributors. The company was founded in 1945 by Harold Fox and Marvin Spielman, who manufactured ballasts and transformers for the lighting industry. That initial offering has grown to a full catalog of lighting products, including a comprehensive line of lamps, fixtures, power supplies, and controls.

After many years of manufacturing products primarily for fluorescent fixtures, Keystone expanded into the still-growing LED market in the early 21st century and has boldly focused on both new products—including wireless controls, instantly programmable drivers, and lamps with field-adjustable wattages and color temperatures—and an enlightened, user-friendly approach to customer service.

Indeed, Keystone’s philosophy is summed up in a three-word mission that encapsulates how lighting should be simple, hassle-free, and enjoyable: Light Made Easy.

The company now has hundreds of employees across the United States, working both in person and remotely, many based in its Lansdale headquarters.

“We really have built an amazing culture here at Keystone,” said Human Resources Director Gina Atkins. “It’s remarkable how much we’ve grown, especially amid the challenges of the pandemic. The HR team is excited to continue to push out new initiatives to provide an exceptional employee experience. Our people are truly our greatest asset.”

“When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business.”

Added Greenberg, “We’re proud to carry on a tradition dedicated to respect, service, and innovation, while simultaneously looking toward the future. It’s a privilege to be recognized as one of Philadelphia’s Top Workplaces.”
