Nora Lighting Joins DOE’s New Home Energy Efficiency Program

COMMERCE, Ca.—Nora Lighting has signed on as an Innovation Partner with the Department of Energy’s new Zero Energy Ready Home program.

The DOE is encouraging architects and homebuilders to incorporate energy efficient materials and products into new home construction plans. Nora joined the DOE’s efforts through the American Lighting Assn and has committed to helping promote the program by featuring the Zero Energy Ready Home logo on Nora corporate catalogs and website.

“This program encourages architects and builders to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency in homebuilding while producing the lowest impact on the environment,” said Courtney Brown, Nora Lighting Energy and Utility Program Manager.

“An ideal situation would be a home that uses a small amount of energy, which can be offset by onsite production of a renewable resource, such as solar energy,” she said.

Nora Lighting features a wide range of Energy Star certified lighting products for residential and commercial application, including LED dedicated and retrofit downlights; LED track and rail fixtures; and LED linear and under cabinet lightbars.
