LightFair Innovation Awards 2022 winners were announced at the convention, held in Las Vegas this week.
LightFair’s independent panel of judges from the IES and IALD reviewed each submission and selected a Category Winner for each of the 14 categories. Further, they continued to review the top 14 to select the Most Innovative Product of 2021, Technical Innovation Award, and Design Excellence Award. Judging criteria included the product’s clarity of purpose, versatility, adaptability, sustainability, ease of use, design efficiency and aspects that enhanced human wellbeing, among others. Although selecting winners was not easy, these products stood out in winning the nod from LightFair’s judges.

Typically, the LightFair Innovation Awards® highlight the industry’s top innovations introduced during the previous 12 months. For 2022, submissions had to meet the criteria of being launched between the last LightFair held in October 2021 and June 2022. Despite the shortened window, LightFair received many excellent entries and are pleased to celebrate the ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness of manufacturers, researchers, developers, scientists and designers.
Submission is open ONLY to current exhibitors as a valued perk and exclusive opportunity to showcase the latest products. Entries are judged by an independent panel of experienced lighting professionals chosen from the IES and IALD. All submissions are featured in an e-brochure and on www.lightfair.com to make it easy for attendees to refer to as they explore the trade show floor.
