Hubbell Announces New Burndy, Harsh & Hazardous Leadership

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Hubbell Incorporated is pleased to announce the following leaders to its BURNDY and Harsh & Hazardous businesses within its Hubbell Construction & Energy (HCE) Group.

David Smith has been named Vice President and General Manager, BURNDY USA within the new HCE Group. In this role, David will have overall responsibility for the BURNDY organization in the US and will be based in the Manchester, N.H. office.

David brings eight years of leadership experience with Hubbell Lighting (HLI), including roles as Brand Vice President for the Columbia and Alera businesses and Vice President of Operations, HLI. Prior to joining Hubbell, David spent 13 years at Westinghouse and General Electric in a variety of operational roles.

David earned his Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing engineering from Western Carolina University and an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte.

Warren Jenkins has been named Vice President and General Manager, Harsh & Hazardous Connectors and Lighting. In this role, Warren will have overall responsibility for the Killark, Hawke, Chalmit, Victor, Vantage, and RigPower businesses on a global basis and will be based in St. Louis, Mo.

Warren brings considerable experience to this position having been in the industry for more than 20 years, most recently as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for BURNDY. Prior to rejoining BURNDY in 2010, Warren held leadership positions with Cooper Crouse Hinds and Ideal Industries. Warren earned his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial distribution from Texas A&M.

Andrew Thexton has been named Vice President and General Manager, Harsh & Hazardous Communications. In this role, Andrew will have overall responsibility for the GAI-Tronics and Austdac businesses on a global basis and will be based in Mohnton, Pa.

Andrew brings significant general management, engineering and sales experience to this role, having held the position of President and CEO for Cableform prior to its acquisition by Hubbell in 2013.  Most recently, he was Vice President of Engineering with Hubbell Industrial Controls with the additional responsibility for operations at the Cableform, Powerohm, and EC&M facilities. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from the College of William & Mary.
