On Oct. 11th, 2023, Jiaxing Super Lighting Appliances Co., Ltd. (“Super Lighting”) and Current Lighting Solutions, LLC (“Current Lighting”) reached a settlement agreement on the patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas (Case No. 6:22-CV-00534-ADA). As part of the settlement, the two parties entered a patent license and business cooperation agreement.
The settled patent infringement lawsuit was filed by Super Lighting against Current Lighting on May 24, 2022 in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. The case involved Super Lighting’s U.S. Patents Nos. 9,939,140, 10,295,125, 11,112,068, 9,841,174, 9,723,662, 9,945,520, 10,487,991, 10,560,989, 10,830,397, 10,897,801, and 11,441,742. The details of the settlement agreement remain confidential.
Super Lighting stated that lawsuits are always the last resort in the pursuit of protecting Super Lighting’s rights. In recent years, the Chinese government has been actively promoting the awareness and protection of intellectual property rights and encouraging private companies to innovate and offer high quality products and services for customers.
