FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Brooks Utility Products, a supplier of electric metering products for the utility industry for 143 years, has engaged EV Smith Sales Co. Inc. to serve all Brooks customer accounts among investor-owned utilities in Texas and Oklahoma. EV Smith will also work with Brooks’ network of distributors to serve the public power market in the region.
“With more than 50 years in the electric metering space, EV Smith’s technical experience and strong relationships with utilities will be instrumental to strengthening customer connections in the region,” said Michael Pluff, Brooks’ director of sales. “I have worked with these guys for 25 years and no one knows metering like they do.”
The EV Smith agency, engaged by Brooks in February 2017, was formed in 1964 in Houston, Texas and now includes a sales presence in Dallas and Oklahoma City as well. The company specializes in material and equipment for electric utilities, specifically, items that are used by electric meter departments and distribution/substation departments.
