Borden has been in the lighting industry for over 36 years, holding a wide range of positions, from sales manager to coordinator and instructor at Sea Gull Lighting’s Learning Center. He also holds ALA’s Lighting Specialist designation, a certification that requires individuals to have studied the comprehensive, Residential Lighting Training Manual, and passed an exam covering every aspect of the lighting industry, including trends, technology and technical developments.
Borden has also been instrumental in the success of ALA’s educational programs. He serves as chairman for the ALA Education Committee. During his service, he developed various programs and ideas, which have had a positive impact on the association and the lighting industry.
