West Caldwell, New Jersey MaxLite®, a global leader in state-of-the-art LED technologies, announced today it donated more than 125 compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) to the Mishkan Learning Center in Trumbull, Connecticut. The lamps will be installed throughout 20 guest rooms in the facility, which provides on-demand housing for individuals in disadvantaged and critical situations throughout southern Connecticut. In 2002, MaxLite donated 36 spiral CFLs from the company’s SpiraMax collection to the facility.
“This donation will help us provide energy-efficient lighting in all needed rooms and areas throughout our facility,” said Joe Stock, director of the Mishkan Learning Center. “We appreciate our continuing relationship and MaxLite’s recognition of our vital efforts to enhance the lives of those who are less fortunate. By helping our organization with this much-needed donation, Maxlite is enabling us to save significant amounts of money that would otherwise be spent on inefficient lighting.”

MaxLite is donating CFL lamps from the company’s Enhancement and Home Comfort Suite Collections to the facility. Sixty three-watt flame tip lamps in candelabra- and Edison-base styles and 12 24-watt candelabra bulbs with a torpedo envelope will be installed in decorative fixtures. Thirty 23-watt R40 lamps will be installed in recessed cans, while 24 of MaxLite’s 20-watt A21 bulbs will be installed in table and floors lamps.
Since 1945, The Mishkan Learning Center and Mishkan Day Camp, divisions of the Yeshiva Achei Tmimim Lubavitz of Bridgeport, have provided assistance, opportunities, educational and recreational programs and on-demand housing for hundreds of in-need individuals, regardless of age, race and/or religious affiliation. Members served include single parents, low-income earners and individuals at or below federal income poverty guidelines. All individuals attend the facility on scholarship.
