We interviewed many and vetted many within the industry. Our team earned us the opportunity to have generated a lot of candidate interest.
Maggie rose to the top in aptitude, cultural fit, enthusiasm, communication skills, appetite (she’s a competitor), proven accomplishments, and the ability to drive efforts evolving successes at Smart Lighting Solutions. Many, many agents, customers, and former associates advocated for Maggie. Along with all the above, her commitment to sustainability, advancing broader community welfare, and inclusion are welcome virtues.
Maggie will be moving with her husband from Tulsa, Oklahoma during the next thirty days.
Maggie’s background, educationally, includes a BBA and coursework toward an MBA. Vocationally, Maggie had been associated with Holophane and Acuity brands since 2003. She most recently worked as the Principal of an Infrastructure Agency across OK. Maggie has evolved her career from Spec Sales Representative to Central U.S. Industrial Director, to Central U.S. Solutions Director, to Central U.S. Specifications Sales Director and more. Additionally, Maggie is a co-founder of the Tulsa WSWB (Women Supporting Women in Business), a past Board Member of the CSI (Constructions Specifications Institute), and holds memberships and actively participates with the AIA, DSIRE, EELA, IES, IEEE, International Dark Sky Association, the EPA Green Lights Program, and the US Green Building Council.
Maggie has also served as adjunct instructor in lighting and controls at Tulsa Community College and taught telecourses in Business Ethics and Computer modeling across four campuses.
Maggie is ready to join the team collaborating and advancing Smart Lighting Solutions, our manufacturers, and our connectivity to the market. She is equally as enthused and excited to reunite and advance past lighting and controls relationships along with developing new ones.
Maggie has shown strength and determination in growing herself, growing the businesses she has served, to listening and learning, and to growing those around her. That’s a good definition of leadership. We’re glad to have Maggie’s talents join Smart Lighting Solutions.
