BRENTWOOD, N.Y. — SATCO Products, Inc. proudly welcomes a number of new members to its executive, sales, and corporate teams, accommodating for growth and advancement throughout the organization.
Ben Tuminello has been named SATCO’s new Director of eCommerce. Tuminello has worked in the home goods industry for over 20 years. His vast experience includes roles in sales, product development, and operations, including a tenure with lighting manufacturer Eglo and World Imports, as well as The Home Depot.
Leveraging his wealth of industry knowledge, Tuminello’s responsibilities at SATCO will include creating sales and marketing strategies that forge new growth and opportunities within the eCommerce channel.
Karsten Fetten joins the Product Management & Development Team as the new Vice President of Product Management, LED Luminaires and Lamps. He will play an integral role in defining and creating SATCO’s future product portfolio strategy.
Fetten has nearly 30 years of global lighting experience working for industry leaders including Osram/Sylvania and Ledvance. He brings deep and well-rounded experience to this role and will join the SATCO team at its Headquarters in New York.
At the Satco Washington location, Nick Kononov, who has been at that branch for 13 years, will be taking over the role of Regional Sales Manager for Tom Woltjer as he retires this August to Arizona with his wife, Carol. Woltjer has been with SATCO for nine years. He will be missed as he confidently passes the torch to Kononov, who has been working closely with Woltjer throughout his time in Washington.
Melinda Bledsoe joins the corporate team as the new Import Analyst and Product Data Manager. Previously with Sylvania and Ledvance, Bledsoe brings with her 24 years of lighting industry experience, including previous roles as Export Control & Customs-Logistics Analyst, Customer Solution Leader, International Export Ocean/Air, and Senior Customer Service Representative.
On the sales team, Alan Karen, Senior Vice President of Global Sales, is pleased to announce a number of new additions to his expanding sales team:
Jarrod Steward is SATCO’s new Eastern & Central Sales Manager, Canada. He brings with him 15 years of experience in sales and territory management, ten of them in the lighting field. Formerly the National Sales Manager of Liteline Corporation, and most recently the CEO and Co-Founder of Silverthorn Construction Supply, Steward has served as the Electro-Federation Canada YPN Ontario Chair & National Vice-Chair, as well an IES Toronto Board Member.
Based in Kaneohe, Hawaii, Sean Bakey is SATCO’s Sales Manager for the Aloha State. Responsible for working closely with the electrical distributor channel and expanding lighting showroom sales through its many markets, Bakey will be working directly with SATCO’s business partners to educate, train and expand sales.
Bakey brings his legendary lighting career with Sylvania/LEDVANCE to SATCO. He is a National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP-LC) Lighting Certified professional with a proven track record of creating business partnerships that grow.
In Washington, Douglas Brown brings 30 years of sales experience in the lighting and electrical wholesale industry to SATCO. Brown has a proven track record of developing new business and establishing a majority market position in his territory, working for both distributors and manufacturers. He is also LC accredited by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP-LC).
Thomas Davey joins the SATCO team as the Dallas, Texas Regional Sales Manager. Davey possesses strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset. Success-focused, his broad background from years at GE includes multi-channel sales experience, national account management, product management, sales, and marketing. A well-respected industry veteran, he is a strong addition to the SATCO team.
Rounding out the new additions, Justin Connell joins SATCO’s Texas team as a Senior Sales Representative. A marketing graduate of Baylor University now with 20 years of lighting industry experience, Connell has spent the majority of his career at Osram Sylvania and GE in lighting sales representing North, East, and West Texas.
SATCO continues to grow with the market and as new faces are added, they encourage customers to reach out and get to know their territory managers and representatives.
