NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Pat Sullivan, president of Panasonic Lighting Americas, Inc. (PESLA), will retire after nearly 40 years in the lighting industry.
Sullivan spent the last 14 years of his career as CEO of Universal Lighting Technologies, as well as the president of PESLA, which operates both Universal Lighting Technologies and Douglas Lighting Controls.
“Pat’s contributions and vision have been invaluable to our growth, product innovation and customer focus,” said Chris Holstein, vice president of marketing for Universal Lighting Technologies. “We will celebrate Pat’s lifelong commitment to the industry and wish him well as he transitions into an enjoyable retirement.”
Panasonic has identified Sullivan’s successor as Mark Verheyen, a long-time industry leader who brings more than 25 years of lighting experience with 13 years inside of the Panasonic Group. Verheyen has joined PESLA as of December 1, and Sullivan will remain in an advisory role to ensure a smooth transition.
“Mark Verheyen is well known and respected in the Panasonic family and throughout the lighting industry,” Holstein said. “As a leader at Panasonic, Mark’s appointment to president represents a commitment to the strategies and programs that have positioned our company for success.”
