COMMERCE, Calif. — Nora Lighting President and CEO Fred Farzan announced the opening of the company’s new central U.S. distribution center to expedite product shipments to the Midwest and East Coast.
The warehouse is a joint venture with John Moore and Associates, a rep agency, and will be operated by the Moore team. It is located in Nashville, Tennessee, and will speed up Nora product shipments to within one or two days.
“We are certain our customers will be pleased with the shorter shipping times and lower freight costs,”said Farzan. “The John Moore team is highly experienced in warehouse operations and also serves other manufacturers. The facility has more than 100,000 square feet and is a model of organizational efficiency,”he said.
The new warehouse is now online with the Nora operating system and product information is updated daily. Since opening in mid-June, the new distribution center has shipped thousands of Nora fixtures and is adding new SKUs every week.
“We have sent containers full of our top-selling products to Nashville and have a system in place to replenish inventory regularly as needed,”said Farzan. “Getting the warehouse up and running was quite a bit of work, but everyone at John Moore did a great job and our customers will see the benefits,”he said.
