ALBUQUERQUE, NM. – NICOR Incorporated (NICOR) has brought on two new agencies to represent them in Indiana and Ohio.
Electra Products Agency (EPA) will represent NICOR in Indiana with their 288 years of combined experience in the electrical industry. Since 1964, EPA has served the Indiana market tirelessly by bringing the best solutions to their distributor customers and showing the value that the manufacturers they represent bring to the table. The team looks to position NICOR as the trusted lighting source of the Indiana territory and create a strong network of distributors supporting the line.
“NICOR offers a complete line that complements what we already do and plan to do in the lighting portion of our business. They offer a professional look to all the marketing pieces and well-organized processes that assist in the easy-to-do-business with environment we promote,” said Joel VanTreese, President of EPA.
“This agent has a strong track record over a long period of time of growing the breadth and depth of the vendors’ products in the market. They are distribution and contractor focused which is where NICOR has the best opportunity to support their efforts,” said Bill Goettsche, Vice President of Regional Sales at NICOR.
Taking over the Ohio market will be Midwestern Electrical Sales. With its combined 125 years of experience in the electrical industry, Midwestern Electrical Sales has been servicing the Ohio territory since 1967. Located in a 36,000 square foot warehouse in London, Ohio the team plans to grow NICOR’s footprint in the area through distributor and contractor partnerships and providing direct access to NICOR products through their delivery service program.
“The breadth of products and product groups are what drew us to NICOR. We love the family-owned aspect of NICOR as well which is harder to find today when working with manufacturers. We look forward to building a long-lasting relationship with the entire NICOR family,” said Bradley Reeves owner of Midwestern Electrical Sales.
“The young enthusiasm of Midwestern and the strong contractor focus are very important to NICOR. They are a smaller agent but hungry and we want to be important to all our agents,” Said Bill Goettsche.
Both teams will report directly to Bill Goettsche and are a welcome addition to the company’s agent sales force. NICOR continues to offer high-quality customer service, and both agencies have shown a commitment to do the same.
