Matt Thesing, President of the National Association of Innovative Lighting Distributors and Ruskin Hartley, the Executive Director of the International Dark-Sky Association, have signed a memorandum of understanding to educate and promote IDA ideals within NAILD. The two organizations will be working together for the next five years towards Human Centric Darkness.
Get a Grip on Lighting, the official podcast of NAILD, will be producing a special release series hosted by Jane Slade and Michael Colligan sponsored by Keystone Technologies. Slade is a lighting designer and dark sky advocate and together they will make the ethical case for industry wide adoption of the IES’ 5 Principles for Responsible Outdoor Lighting. The podcast will be released every Thursday starting November 19. NAILD and IDA will also collaborate to create technical and product-based education available through NAILD’s soon to launch digital training platform, LS Evolve.
