West Caldwell, New Jersey – MaxLite® announces that its DesignLights Consortium® (DLC)-qualified BayMAX™ LED High Bay Pendant won a 2014 Product Innovation Award from Architectural SSL magazine. The LED fixture was selected from a wide range of products by a diverse group of judges. The product is featured in the February issue of the magazine, which can be viewed at http://issuu.com/constructionbusinessmedia/docs/1402_archssl.
“Architectural SSL is a leading publication for the LED and solid-state lighting market, and MaxLite is proud that its BayMAX LED High Bay Pendant was selected to win this industry-leading award,” said Vice President of Product Marketing Pat Treadway. “This award demonstrates MaxLite’s commitment to introducing innovative and quality LED products to the high bay lighting marketplace.”
The high-performance LED lighting fixture is offered in 130-, 160- and 200-watt models that replace up to 400-watt metal halide high bay fixtures on universal voltage electrical systems. L70-rated above 65,000 hours, the fixture offers a lifetime that is 2.5 times more than a traditional metal halide fixture, enabling low- or no-maintenance costs. Additionally, by swapping out just one 200-watt BayMAX LED High Bay Pendant, users can save $1,981 in energy and maintenance costs over the lifetime of the fixtures, based on a kilowatt-hour energy rate of $0.15. The fixture can be purchased with rebates of up to $315 from select utilities nationwide.
The IP65-rated fixture is ideal for facilities with mounting heights of 15 to 40 feet, including commercial buildings, factories, warehouses, distribution centers, gymnasiums, auditoriums and churches. Unlike metal halide systems, the LED fixture features instant-on technology with no re-strike delay.
To maximize energy savings and ensure precise light levels, users can pair the BayMAX LED High Bay Pendant with third-party building controls, sensors and dimmers.
