MONTGOMERYVILLE, PA — Keystone Technologies has supplied ballasts for a lot of high-profile signs over the years, but the enormous new sign in Times Square in New York City is definitely the most famous, and without a doubt, the largest. The sign, located on Broadway between 45th and 46th Streets, is eight stories high and longer than a football field. It is the world’s largest high definition video display sign.
“When the sign manufacturer was ready for a ballast supplier, they contacted us first,” said Josh Brown, VP of Distributor Sales at Keystone. “A demanding application like this requires exceptional ballast quality. They knew Keystone could deliver.”
The sign is located on the facade of the Marriott Marquis hotel. According to the Times Square Alliance, an estimated 400,000 drivers, passengers, and pedestrians will pass the sign every single day. “We are really proud that Keystone was included in a project that has captured so much attention,” said Ira Greenberg, CEO of Keystone. “And we are ready for whatever is next.”
