BALTIMORE, Md. – Inter-lux fortifies its innovative leadership team with the addition of Ted Chappell as President. In this role, Chappell will be responsible for ensuring the continuous improvement of operations for all aspects of the Company. Chappell brings with him a high level of expertise in the development and execution of growth strategies and company organization with an emphasis on team building.
Chappell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and began his lighting career at Lutron Electronics Co. Inc. as a Sales Manager responsible for sales and distribution strategy in eleven countries. He went on to cofound a company in Malaysia that specialized in the distribution and installation of commercial lighting and lighting control systems. Chappell also served as president of a German manufacturer of high-performance architectural lighting, where he initiated a full sales and distribution strategy.
For nearly three years, Chappell served as President of Perennials and Sutherland L.L.C., a company specializing in luxury performance fabric and outdoor furniture. There, he expanded the sales organization and implemented several new strategic initiatives. In a previous role as President of Ann Sacks, a subsidiary of multinational Kohler specializing in high-end tile and stone distribution, Chappell oversaw every aspect of the organization, opened four new showroom locations, and launched a new company website.
