Atlanta-based Halco Lighting Technologies has announced that Kim Cook is taking on the position of president of the company. Cook will also continue to serve as Halco’s COO, a position she has held since 2005.
Cook joined Halco in 1992 and has served in a variety of roles, including account representative, regional sales manager, national sales manager and vice president of sales and marketing.
“Kim’s role is an integral part of the continued development and success of Halco, and this is an important step forward in preparing for Halco’s future growth and evolution. I’m not only excited about the change, but I am looking forward to the potential unleashed by it,” says Allan Nelkin, CEO.
Halco has also promoted Lisa Johnson to the position of operations manager. Johnson previously served as the company’s IT manager.
Johnson has been with Halco since 1998 and began as an administrative assistant. She was promoted to manager of purchasing/inventory control in 2002 and then IT manager in 2007.
As operations manager, Johnson will oversee IT, purchasing and facilities, and implementing company policies.
“Simply stated, Lisa has a vast knowledge and understanding of the company’s operations and has demonstrated her ability and strong work ethic throughout her career at Halco,” says Kim Cook, president and COO.
