Mentor, Ohio — EYE Lighting International is pleased to announce three of its solid-state lighting products have received 2014 Architectural SSL Product Innovation Awards. The products recognized include EYE Lighting LEDioc, Aphos Ceiling Mount and kíaroLED® Post Top.
“We are excited that three of our products have been recognized among our peers for their superior quality, reliability and color-rendering. Our engineers continue to develop lighting solutions that create more light on task at a lower wattage and better visibility because energy efficiency and reducing maintenance costs are key issues for today’s lighting specifiers,” commented Tom Salpietra, president and COO.
EYE Lighting LEDioc brand LED upgrade lamps are designed for simple and easy field retrofit from an HID to LED light source in post-top and pendant luminaires. The 37 watt LEDioc lamp, consuming only 42 system watts, comes complete with a driver and surge protector, and can be applied in 120V through 277V systems. The 5000K model provides 4400 initial lumens, 70 CRI, and 106 lumens per watt. The 3000K model provides 3100 initial lumens, 85 CRI, and 75 lumens per watt. Both feature 70% lumen maintenance at 50,000 hours of life.
EYE kíaroLED Post Top luminaires offers superior control of backlight, uplight and glare, making them ideal for streets, roadways, walkways, parks and campus applications. The 66th EYE Lighting product to meet DLC requirements, kíaroLED Post Tops install in minutes on all brands of poles, are compatible with a variety of photocontrols and mesh networks, and typically replace 70W to 250W HID lamps and luminaires.
Aphos LED ceiling mount luminaires are especially well suited for applications that require exceptional light-on-task coverage and easy maintenance such as parking garages, parking lots and warehouses. Aphos is rated at 60,000 hours of life, is suitable in -35ºC to +40ºC ambient, and is compatible with standard photocontrols.
The Architectural SSL Product Innovation Awards honors the most innovative LED and solid-state luminaires and fixtures on the market, while also recognizing the companies behind the components that make up these light sources. Based on criteria and characteristics of the technology, product entries are reviewed by a panel of professionals representing lighting designers, sales, distribution, lighting manufacturing, architecture and design and lighting publishing.
