EYE Lighting International, a leading manufacturer of luminaires, lamps, controls, and related lighting products, is pleased to congratulate Mike Anderson, director of specialty products, for his participation in the 2014 Class of Leadership Lake County. Anderson is the second graduate of Leadership Lake County to enhance the management directing EYE Lighting¹s success.
Through dynamic meetings and active participation, Leadership Lake County engages established professionals in preparation for progressive leadership positions. Anderson and other professionals gained insight from emerging and existing leadership within Lake County and regional organizations helping them to further enhance and develop readily usable skills and techniques to build workplace and civic excellence.
“Over the past year, Leadership Lake County opened my eyes and inspired me to get involved in our community and to help others. The interaction that I gained from networking with community leaders and future leaders was very rewarding. I have several new ideas to engage our employees and strengthen our customer relationships. I would like to thank EYE Lighting and especially Tom Salpietra for getting me involved with the program,” said Mike Anderson.
As a capstone project for the 2014 Class, Anderson and others helped build a community garden for Extended Housing in Painesville that supports mentally ill individuals to live as independently as possible by creating, developing and sustaining safe and affordable housing options.
“I was amazed at the kind support from numerous businesses and leaders in building our community garden at McKinley Grove. Our hard work will bring joy to many residents now and in the future,” added Anderson.
Harry West, Director of Operations for EYE Lighting has also completed leadership training through Leadership Lake County.
