Dennis Northern, Sr. and Diane Guttormsen (future wife), founded the electric supply company, Northern Lights, in May of 1987 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Dennis passed away Sunday, April 12th.
Per an article in the Kenosha News: The business started with “an old diesel truck and [we] rented a warehouse,” said Diane. From a downtown location in 1991, it moved to its present location at 3307 14th Ave. The business served residential and commercial lighting, with Dennis doing much of the lighting layouts, said Diane. For a while, he also offered lighting advice on a WLIP radio program. “Dennis was a very good salesman; everyone liked him,” said Diane.
