ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — NICOR Incorporated recently made a large donation of undercabinet lights and other residential LED lighting to the Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity. These fixtures will be used in the construction of new homes for Albuquerque families in need of affordable housing.
“We chose to donate these fixtures to Habitat for Humanity, because we wanted to help those in New Mexico who are less fortunate. With the events happening today, it is important for all of us to work together and help others,” said Rocklan Lawrence, CEO of NICOR Lighting.
Habitat for Humanity has helped over 29 million families in need of affordable housing across the U.S. They provide support for those in financial distress, struck by natural disasters, and rebuilding neighborhoods. This donation is the first step in a long-term program to support Habitat for Humanity with reliable lighting fixtures. Another donation of fixtures is set to be sent in October.
