Douglas Lighting Product Approved by DesignLights Consortium

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Douglas Lighting Controls®, a member of the Panasonic family of companies, recently announced its Dialog® eco-system has been approved by DesignLights® Consortium and in their Qualified Products List (QPL) under Network Lighting Controls (NLC). The Dialog listing covers all Douglas Dialog products, including Dialog Centralized and Distributed Systems, Bluetooth Network System and CheckLight® Energy Management System.

DesignLights® Consortium’s Networked Lighting Controls QPL identifies systems that are eligible for utility rebates and incentives by meeting minimum benchmark technical requirements. Containing 22 categories of both required and reported system capabilities, the QPL also serves as a product comparison tool for architects, specifiers, engineers and contractors.

“At Douglas Lighting Controls the user experience is our number one priority, so we are continually committed to designing and enhancing energy-efficient solutions that reduce consumption and promote ease of use,” said Tony Lee, product manager for Douglas Lighting Controls. “We are extremely proud of our Dialog product family. Seeing it included in the DesignLights® Consortium Qualified Products List is a huge honor for our team.”

As Tunable White fixtures and circadian rhythm programming are becoming more and more common in hospital patient rooms and school classrooms, the Dialog controller can be programmed to simulate circadian rhythm by utilizing its internal timer and sequencing. This capability matches the lighting levels with the body’s natural circadian rhythm to promote healing and create better learning environments.

The Douglas Lighting Controls Dialog system offers advanced digital lighting control solutions by connecting and controlling lights with relays, occupancy sensors, photo sensors, ballasts and/or drivers, and switch stations, and manages facility lighting requirements globally by area or by room.

Designed for maximum, flexibility and scalability, the Dialog system can be used in a variety of applications from light commercial and retail to healthcare facilities and large commercial spaces.
