WEST CALDWELL, N.J. — Team members from MaxLite’s New Jersey headquarters volunteered to help build Habitat for Humanity homes for families in Newark, New Jersey, on November 11th. Led by experienced Habitat for Humanity crew leaders and a site superintendent, employees of the energy-efficient lighting manufacturer worked together to install drywall and complete other projects to help prepare a single-family unit on South Orange Avenue to become home for a new Habitat for Humanity Newark Partner Family.
MaxLite’s California office will participate in a similar Team Build Day in January with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. The corporate volunteer program is part of a four-year, $1 million commitment by MaxLite to provide energy-efficient LED and CFL lamps and fixtures to Habitat for Humanity. The product donations will help create sustainable, affordable homes in partnership with low-income families across the United States.
