Osram Americas Unveils New Headquarters

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Olaf Berlien, CEO of Osram Licht AG, and Grant Wright, CEO and CFO of Osram Americas, unveiled the new Osram Americas headquarters at a ribbon cutting ceremony recently in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

The new 124,000-square-foot facility, which houses approximately 500 employees, will serve as the North and South American headquarters for the company.

tEDmag.com announced the plans in 2014 for the company to move its Danvers–based headquarters from 100 Endicott Street in Danvers, Mass. to 200 Ballardvale Street in Wilmington, Mass..

“This move is essential to building a more agile and collaborative culture, which will help us operate with speed, deliver innovative products that customers love, and generate future growth,” said Jes Munk Hansen, President and CEO, Osram Sylvania. “All of that will help us achieve our ultimate measure of success: maintaining and expanding our industry leadership in an increasingly competitive and rapidly changing environment.”

The new location is within the technology corridor and will present enormous opportunity for Osram Americas to design the positive changes required to support the needs of the business within the transforming lighting industry. The new dynamic workplace will cultivate a fresh energizing environment that fosters innovation, focus, customer experience, learning and more. The evolution of lighting over recent years from light bulbs to lighting solutions required the need to adapt quickly in these times of positive change.

Also in attendance at the ribbon-cutting were Massachusetts State Senator Bruce Tarr, Massachusetts State Representative Ken Gordon; Dave Robertson, Legislative Aide on behalf of Massachusetts State Representative James Miceli; Jon Golnik, Regional Director, MA Office of Business Development; Jeff Hull, Wilmington Town Manager; Michael Champoux, Chairman, Wilmington Board of Selectman; Nancy Vallee, Executive Director, Wilmington Chamber of Commerce; and Robert Bradford, President, North Shore Chamber of Commerce.
