According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notification submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development on March 22, 2018, Hubbell Lighting, Inc., will permanently close its manufacturing facility in Hudson, Wisconsin. The facility is located at 623 Brakke Drive.
Separations, potentially 54 employees, are expected to begin on or around May 25 and end on or before July 15, 2018. As none of the workers are represented by a union, bumping rights won’t apply for employee separations as a result of the closure.
The company’s decision to discontinue the P2 brand and to consolidate certain operations across the company are cited as reasons for the closure.
